How can I configure my single mode ram to dual mode?

I have an asus P5KPL AM/PS mother board and intel C2D 2.8
I have trancend 2gb DDR2 800mhz dual mode ram. but in my mb, it shows single mode. So im getting only 400mhz from ram??

Yes, you need to have two sticks of 2 GB DDR2 RAM in your case. Than only you will be able to run them in Dual channel mode.
E.g. you’ll need 2 x 2 GB DDR2 800 MHz RAM.
After this, place both RAM’s on same color coding slots. You can also check your motherboard manual for this.
